People think touch up will be a great shortcut to DIY but it really is impossible to touch up.
Below are a few key factors to take into consideration when trying to touch up.
1) How the original paints was applied by roller or brush? they both apply paint but have totally different finishes.
2) How long since the area was painted. Paint ages with time, light and traffic / wearing so touch ups will always look conspicuous .
3) Lighter colours are more forgiving than medium / darker colours when touching up.
4) When touching up using the original paint will help, but will only minimize the difference between the old colour and the new touch up area.
